When you use AR or camera features powered by Camera Kit, Snap Inc. may collect the following data:
- Device information: device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers
- Usage data: which lenses/effects you use, how long you use them, interaction patterns with AR features
- Camera and AR interaction data: technical data about how AR content is rendered on your device (this does not include saving or transmitting the actual images or video you capture unless you submit them through the App)
- Performance and diagnostic data: crash logs, load times, and SDK performance metrics
6.3 How Snap Uses This Data
Snap Inc. processes this data in accordance with their own privacy policy. They may use it to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve Camera Kit and AR experiences
- Analyse usage trends and performance
- Develop new features and products
For full details, please review Snap's Privacy Policy.
Your use of Camera Kit features is also subject to Snap's Terms of Service.
6.4 Opting Out of Camera Kit Data Collection
You have the right to opt out of data collection by Snap's Camera Kit:
- Do not use AR/camera features: If you do not activate AR lenses or camera features in the App, Camera Kit will not collect data about you.
- In-app settings: You can disable Camera Kit features in the App's settings menu, which will prevent the SDK from collecting data.
- Device permissions: You can revoke camera access through your device's operating system settings at any time, which will prevent Camera Kit from functioning.
- Contact us: You can email us at info@reactapp.com to request that Camera Kit data collection be disabled for your account.
Please note that opting out of Camera Kit will mean you cannot use AR lenses and certain camera features within the App.
